Job Summary
Duties:
Develop and execute the sales plan for priority African markets in line with the commercial objectives.
Identify, acquire and grow productive accounts across the region, building strong long-term relationships with key travel-trade and commercial partners.
Manage an active portfolio of accounts and prospects, with clear account plans, sales targets, follow-up and production tracking.
Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, roadshows, trade events and market visits throughout Africa.
Generate new business opportunities and convert them into measurable room-night and revenue production for the resort.
Work closely with Revenue and Commercial leadership on market positioning, offers, contracting priorities and opportunities by source market.
Maintain strong awareness of competitor activity, market trends, air connectivity, demand shifts and emerging commercial opportunities across the region.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, account performance updates, market intelligence and regular activity reporting.
Coordinate partner engagement, familiarisation visits and selected trade initiatives.
Represent the group professionally across the region as a key commercial ambassador.
Requirements:
At least 5+ years of progressive hotel, resort, destination or travel-industry sales experience, preferably across multiple African markets.
Established network and strong understanding of the African travel trade and key source markets.
Proven track record of developing accounts, opening new markets and delivering measurable sales production.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to manage both strategic accounts and new-business development.
Confident presenter and relationship builder, comfortable engaging senior decision-makers and representing a luxury hospitality product externally.
Highly organised, target-driven and disciplined in account planning, follow-up, reporting and pipeline management.
Excellent written and spoken English; other relevant African-market languages are a strong advantage.
Willing and able to travel regularly across the African continent as required.
