Job Summary
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Own the SDLC End-to-End
- Lead the full lifecycle: planning, development, testing, release, and support
- Build and standardize repeatable, well-documented processes
- Provide clear visibility into delivery, quality, and performance
- Drive Agile delivery in partnership with the Scrum Master
Lead DevOps & Engineering Excellence
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated, reliable delivery
- Establish release management practices with low-risk deployments and rollback strategies
- Implement infrastructure-as-code, environment consistency, and configuration management
- Foster a DevOps mindset with shared ownership and fast feedback loops
- Lead potential cloud migration initiatives end-to-end
Drive Quality & Testing Strategy
- Embed unit testing as a core engineering discipline
- Define and implement a full test strategy (unit, integration, regression, automation)
- Integrate quality gates directly into the delivery pipeline
- Improve defect detection, coverage, and release quality
Ensure Reliability & Support Excellence
- Take ownership of production reliability and support
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices
- Partner with implementation teams to ensure smooth releases
Lead, Grow & Inspire
- Manage and mentor a team of ~12 (developers, QA, Scrum, implementation)
- Collaborate with and develop the existing Senior Team Lead
- Establish strong engineering standards, code reviews, and accountability
- Protect and nurture a high-performance, positive team culture
- Align engineering outcomes with business priorities
Essential Skills and Experience
Core Experience
- 9+ years in software development with progression into leadership
- Proven success building and maturing SDLC processes
- Deep expertise in .NET / C# across legacy and modern systems
- Strong, hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation
- Solid experience with testing strategy and quality engineering
- Experience owning production systems, reliability, and support
Leadership
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing teams
- A strong, authentic commitment to team culture
- Comfortable leading by example — from code reviews to hands-on problem solving
Nice to Have
- Cloud platforms (especially Azure) and migration experience
- Legacy modernization and containerization
- Exposure to both internal systems and customer-facing products
- Observability/SRE practices
- Relevant certifications (Azure, DevOps, Kubernetes)
Your Team
You will lead a team of approximately 12 engineers, including:
- 8 Developers
- 2 Test Engineers
- 1 Scrum Master
- 1 Implementation Specialist
- Supported by an existing Senior Team Lead
