Restaurant & Kitchen Manager Private Boutique Game Farm – 15 Units - Thabazimbi Position Overview Our client a Private Boutique Game Farm is seeking an experienced Restaurant / Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and kitchen, ensuring a high standard of food preparation, service and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a lodge or boutique hospitality establishment and understand the operational requirements and service standards associated with this environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day restaurant and kitchen operations. Work closely with the chef to ensure consistent food quality, presentation and preparation standards. Assist with menu planning, food preparation and coordinating meals according to guest requirements. Manage food stock, ordering, stock rotation and portion control. Monitor food costs, minimise wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations. Ensure the kitchen, restaurant and food preparation areas comply with hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards. Coordinate meal service and ensure guests receive attentive, professional service. Supervise and coordinate the kitchen and restaurant team, including the chef, kitchen assistant, dishwasher and waiter. Assist with hands-on kitchen duties and service when required. Ensure a welcoming dining experience that reflects the standards of a private boutique game farm. Requirements Previous experience in a lodge, boutique hotel or similar hospitality establishment. Practical experience in kitchen and restaurant management within a lodge environment. Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, stock control and food cost management. Ability to work hands-on and lead a small team. Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A guest-focused approach with attention to detail and high service standards. Flexibility to work hospitality hours, including weekends and public holidays. Remuneration & Benefits Salary and benefits will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
