Job Description
The Communications department currently has a vacancy for a methodical, attentive to detail individual to join their team. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Installation, wiring and mounting of various electronic devices, machines or equipment
Installation and programming of access control systems, CCTV cameras and motorized entrance points
Installation, fault finding, relocation and fitment of all telecommunications
Fitting and testing of data cables for all network points and power skirting
Assist in moving offices and setting up PC's, Phone lines, and moving files
Mounting, wiring and fitting grids for wireless infrastructure
Day to day maintenance ,installation and servicing of security and data equipment
Tool and equipment maintenance
Adhoc activities as requested by Manager
Provide guidance and mentorship to Semi-Skilled team members
Housekeeping
Understanding of and abiding by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Qualifying Criteria
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
Relevant certifications or qualification
Minimum of 5 years' experience working within an electronic security field
Basic electric/electronic ,CCTV ,intercom, data or alarm courses
IP and analogue camera ,alarm, automation ,data cabling ,electric fencing ,intercoms ,UPS and Alternating Current electrical knowledge
Knowledge of data cabinet wiring
Knowledge and experience working with power tools
Valid driver's license
Must be prepared to work overtime when required
