Stock Controller - Ultra-Luxury Safari & Wellness Retreat - Karoo, Western Cape Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a meticulous and reliable Stock Controller for one of South Africa's most exclusive safari properties - an ultra-luxury, wellness-led safari retreat set within a rewilded 10,000-hectare private Big Five reserve in the Karoo, just 2.5 hours from Cape Town. With ten of the largest luxury safari tented suites on the African continent, each spanning approximately 340 square metres and featuring private spa sanctuaries, this is a small but extraordinarily high-end operation where stock management must reflect the property's uncompromising standard. Every product, every item and every process must be handled with precision and care. Please note: This is a live-in position in a remote environment. Accommodation is provided on-site. Candidates must be comfortable living and working remotely and must have prior lodge-based stock control experience. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 2 to 3 years' stock control experience within a luxury lodge environment - essential Proven experience in multi-department stock management across F&B, housekeeping, spa and operational equipment Proficient in MS Office - strong Excel skills essential Experience with stock management or lodge inventory systems Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail Solid understanding of FIFO principles, wastage management and stock rotation Experience with purchase orders, GRNs and supplier invoicing Ability to conduct and lead regular cycle counts and month-end stock takes High level of integrity and discretion when handling high-value stock Ability to work independently and self-manage in a remote environment Good communication skills for liaison with HODs and management Valid South African driver's license advantageous Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: ? Daily Stock Management Oversee all daily stock movements across F&B, housekeeping, spa retail and professional products, and operational equipment Ensure full SOP compliance across all stock-holding areas at all times Process and verify purchase orders, GRNs, transfers, credits and wastage entries accurately Enforce FIFO rotation, correct storage and appropriate product handling at all times Maintain storeroom access controls, cleanliness and security standards ? Reconciliation & Reporting Reconcile POS sales against stock depletion across relevant departments Investigate and resolve stock variances promptly Lead mid-month and month-end stock counts across all departments Compile accurate month-end stock reports including opening and closing balances, purchases, wastage and variance summaries Report findings to management and flag discrepancies proactively ? Purchasing & Receiving Validate purchasing requests against PAR levels, budgets and approved supplier lists Oversee accurate receiving of all deliveries including three-way matching of POs, delivery notes and invoices Manage supplier relationships and ensure credits are correctly raised and reconciled ? Controls & Compliance Maintain full digital document trails across all stock transactions Support internal and external audits with accurate, complete records Ensure high-value stock including spa products, premium beverages and luxury amenities is managed with the highest level of care and accountability Package: Gross Salary: R12,000 to R15,000 per month (DOE) Live-in: Accommodation provided on-site Please note: Meals are not included in the package Remote location - candidates must be prepared for and comfortable with bush living Should you feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with your updated CV, contactable references and a recent head & shoulders photo ASAP! ?
