Live-In Position Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and respected General Manager for a luxury 5-star lodge in Botswana. This senior leadership role is ideal for a hospitality professional with extensive experience managing remote, high-end properties independently, with strong expertise in lodge operations, finance, staff management, and guest experience. The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, sustainability, conservation, and community development. The General Manager will take full responsibility for all lodge operations, ensuring world-class guest experiences while maintaining operational efficiency, financial performance, and strong team leadership in a remote luxury environment. Requirements: ✔ Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a five-star lodge or similar luxury operation ✔ Strong experience in guest relations, staff management, and operational oversight ✔ Qualification in Hospitality or Business Management ✔ Energetic, proactive, and capable of delivering a world-class guest experience ✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills ✔ Strong financial and computer literacy ✔ Confident, warm, and professional personality suited to high-end clientele ✔ Well-presented, diligent, honest, and self-motivated ✔ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, staff, government departments, community, and partners • Lead CSR initiatives and community development projects • Drive operational efficiency through cost control and quality management • Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance across all departments • Enhance guest experiences across accommodation, dining, and activities • Manage operational assets including vehicles, generators, and facilities • Monitor sustainability practices and their impact on operations • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management • Train and develop staff to uphold service excellence • Host agents, media, and VIP guests to ensure outstanding representation • Overall responsibility for full lodge operations and performance What’s on Offer: • Competitive salary (DOE) • Live-in accommodation provided • Opportunity to lead a prestigious 5-star safari lodge • Exposure to sustainability, conservation, and community-focused hospitality • Strong career growth and professional development opportunities Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
