A leading player in the heavy commercial vehicle industry is looking for a hands-on, technically strong Quality Controller to join their Workshop team. If you’re a natural leader with a passion for productivity, quality workmanship, and maintaining high service standards — this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of workshop technicians.
Monitor technician hours and ensure efficient, productive output.
Drive productivity to achieve sold hours targets.
Reduce rectifications/reworks through continuous quality improvement.
Conduct ad-hoc inspections and consolidate quality reports.
Manage and action reports from the Department of Transport.
Oversee planning, workshop loading, and workflow.
Supervise and coordinate staff training and technical development.
Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Ensure teams understand and follow SCP processes.
Drive WIP daily and streamline throughput processes.
Manage accident scenes and compile accurate reports.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Trade-tested Auto Electrician or Diesel Mechanic.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
Strong technical background with solid fault-finding ability.
Computer literate.
