Job Summary
Junior Bookkeeper - R 20,000pm - Table View, Cape TownJoin a well-established and growing business where you'll play an important role in the day-to-day finance function while building your bookkeeping career. This is a full-time, office-based position offering hands-on exposure, mentorship, and genuine growth opportunities within a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily bank processing and dashboard reporting
- Creditors processing, invoice matching, and reconciliations
- Bank and supplier statement reconciliations
- Debtor receipt allocations
- Returns and credit note administration
- Capturing supplier payments and payment preparation
- VAT capture and reconciliation preparation
- Petty cash and cash receipt processing
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Month-end support and finance administration
All work is reviewed by senior finance staff, requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability.
Requirements
- Completed or currently studying towards a bookkeeping or accounting qualification (ICB, BCom or similar)
- Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Sage and/or Pastel
- Good Excel skills
- Highly organised, accurate, and deadline-driven
- Strong English communication skills
- Imports, wholesale, or distribution industry experience advantageous
- Own reliable transport
