Job Summary
Job title: Artisan – Security Systems
Purpose:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of the access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and electric fence systems for the Sasolburg, Natref & Mining and the Pipeline Operations.
Key Accountabilities:
Perform routine inspections on systems and test to verify communication to the control room.
Clean and align cameras as per schedules. Repair and install camera equipment and cabling.
Perform regular checks and tests of the electric fence and repair when defective.
Perform regular checks of the booms, motorized gates and turnstiles.
Test access control equipment for correct functionality and do necessary repairs.
Troubleshooting the hardware and replacing equipment.
Installation and testing of the hardware.
Configure and troubleshooting of wireless networks
Configure and troubleshooting of wireless networks
Gathering of information independently.
Follow procedures, norms and policies.
Demonstrate computer skills and ability to utilize available applications/tools.
Qualifications:
Matric/Senior Certificate/Grade 12
Trade Test: Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics.
Technical Certificates:
Certificate(s) in CCTV, Alarms, Access Control, electric fence system installation.
Regulatory Compliance:
Valid PSIRA registration Grade C.
No criminal record.
Driver’s license: Code B.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience on maintenance of security systems.
