As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, our client is seeking a motivated Project Controls Engineer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster
About the role
- Track actual costs against forecasts and identify variances.
- Support change management and assess cost impacts of scope changes.
- Create and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify delays.
- Apply techniques like Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Generate regular reports for stakeholders, highlighting risks and corrective actions.
- Present cost and schedule status to senior management.
- Identify potential risks and incorporate contingencies into cost and schedule plans.
- Support mitigation strategies and scenario planning.
- Ensure adherence to project standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities.
About you
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Controls.
- Experience with EPCM or large-scale mining projects.
- Proficiency in project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, Excel, SAP).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
