A well-established company in the passenger transport industry is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Store Controller to oversee all store operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient stock handling, and compliance with company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage stock control, including receiving, issuing, transfers, returns, and stock reconciliations.
Obtain quotes, place orders, and maintain adequate stock levels for operational requirements.
Verify incoming goods, conduct quality and quantity checks, and ensure proper storage practices.
Capture all stock transactions accurately and maintain complete stock documentation and reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and health & safety standards.
Support operations by maintaining stock availability and assisting with inventory planning.
Requirements3–5 years' experience in stores, inventory, or stock control.
Experience within a fleet, workshop, logistics, or similar operational environment.
Sage Inventory experience will be advantageous.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized stock management systems.
Able to work under pressure, with a high level of accountability, integrity, and willingness to work overtime during stock counts and audits.
