Are you a skilled network and VoIP professional looking to step into a high-impact, technically
challenging role? We’re looking for a Senior VoIP & Network Operations Engineer to join our team
and play a key role in maintaining and evolving a mission-critical ICT environment.
This role is central to ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our
network, and VoIP infrastructure.
You’ll operate as a Senior technical expert, handling escalations, driving advanced troubleshooting,
and contributing to automation and infrastructure optimisation initiatives. You’ll also collaborate across
teams, support large-scale environments, and provide guidance to junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations
• Manage senior network support, including escalations and complex troubleshooting
• Ensure network reliability across diverse environments
VoIP & Telephony
• Monitor VoIP systems (physical & virtual) using dashboards and alerts
• Conduct call quality investigations and performance optimisation
• Support provisioning, automation, and system maintenance
• Contribute to R&D initiatives (e.g., codec optimisation, system enhancements)
• Manage VPN technologies (e.g., WireGuard)
Problem Management & Escalations
• Lead investigations into recurring issues and trends
• Support escalation overflow and high-priority incidents
• Step in to oversee Tier 1 operations when required
Projects & Leadership
• Act as a key technical resource on large-scale projects
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Contribute to automation and infrastructure innovation initiatives
Security & Networking
• Configure and manage next-gen firewalls and network security solutions
• Support large on-premises client environments (enterprise scale)
Ticket Management
• Own and drive ticket resolution with a strong focus on SLAs and quality
Requirements:
• Strong experience in VoIP systems and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of networking principles and infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security
• Ability to handle escalations and complex technical investigations
• A proactive mindset with an interest in automation and optimisation
• Strong communication skills and ability to support/mentor junior team members
• Experience with Linux servers and Docker environments is a nice-to-have
