A beautiful luxury farm retreat in the Cape Winelands is looking for a Host / Duty Manager to join its team. This is a guest-focused role within a unique hospitality environment that places strong emphasis on wellbeing, thoughtful experiences, and personalised service. The property attracts both local and international guests seeking a slower, more restorative style of travel in a beautiful natural setting. We are looking for someone warm, polished, emotionally intelligent, and naturally attentive to detail — somebody who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences while helping oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the property. The Role As Host / Duty Manager, you will be involved in both guest hosting and operational support, ensuring that every aspect of the guest experience feels seamless, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Responsibilities Include: • Welcoming and hosting guests throughout their stay • Assisting with check-ins, departures, and daily guest requirements • Supporting the daily operations of the property across departments • Co-ordinating with housekeeping, kitchen, spa, and experience teams • Handling guest requests and resolving issues professionally and efficiently • Assisting with reservations, schedules, and administrative duties where required • Ensuring the property maintains its high service and presentation standards • Creating a calm, professional, and guest-centric atmosphere What We Are Looking For: • Previous experience in luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, lodges, or retreats • Strong guest relations and hosting skills • A calm, mature, and naturally caring personality • Excellent organisational and communication ability • High attention to detail and pride in presentation • Ability to multitask and work well within a close-knit team • A genuine appreciation for hospitality, wellness, food, wine, and beautiful environments • Professional, adaptable, and hands-on approach This is an exceptional opportunity for somebody who enjoys personalised hospitality and wants to work within a refined, experience-driven environment in the Cape Winelands.
