General Manager | Luxury F&B Restaurant

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to join a luxury F&B restaurant in Hillcrest, KZN.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team performance and a consistently high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  

• Lead, manage and motivate the restaurant team to achieve operational and service excellence.
  

• Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and hospitality.
  

• Manage staff performance, training and development.
  

• Oversee stock control, ordering, wastage and cost management.
  

• Monitor financial performance and assist with achieving revenue and profitability targets.
  

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational standards.
  

• Handle guest feedback and resolve any operational or service-related concerns professionally.
  

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  

• Drive a positive and professional working environment.
  

• Ensure the restaurant’s standards, values and reputation are maintained at all times.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a senior management role within a high-end restaurant or F&B environment.
  

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  

• A strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial controls and cost management.
  

• A hands-on management approach with excellent attention to detail.
  

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  

• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  

• Relevant hospitality qualifications would be advantageous.
