Lodge Manager – Luxury Private Game Reserve – Grahamstown, Eastern Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and capable Lodge Manager to join a prestigious luxury private game reserve in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring that all departments work cohesively and that guests receive consistently high levels of service.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lodge and ensure smooth coordination between all departments.
  

• Maintain exceptional standards of guest service, hospitality and overall presentation.
  

• Lead, motivate and manage the lodge team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  

• Ensure operational procedures, service standards and lodge policies are consistently followed.
  

• Manage guest relations and handle any queries or concerns professionally and efficiently.
  

• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management.
  

• Monitor stock levels, ordering and general lodge requirements.
  

• Work closely with management to ensure operational and financial targets are achieved.
  

• Maintain strong communication with suppliers, staff and relevant stakeholders.
  

• Ensure the lodge remains well maintained, presented and fully operational at all times.
  

• Take a hands-on approach to the daily running of the property and support the team wherever required.
  

Requirements:

• Previous lodge management or senior hospitality management experience.
  

• Experience within a luxury lodge, safari or game reserve environment will be highly advantageous.
  

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  

• Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
  

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a remote environment.
  

• A hands-on, flexible and solutions-driven approach.
  

• Strong administrative and operational skills.
  

• Professional presentation and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality.
  

• A valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
  

Salary: R24,000 per month
