About the Role We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, and enthusiastic Guesthouse and Property Manager to join our premier Wedding Venue and Accommodation Team. This dynamic, multi-faceted role involves managing the daily operations of our upscale, 8-room guesthouse designed to complement our exclusive wedding venue packages. Beyond guest excellence, you will take full ownership of the maintenance, infrastructure, and upkeep of our beautiful buildings, grounds, and public areas. You must be prepared to work long hours during our peak wedding season, with the benefit of allocated time off during the low season. Days off are provided during the week ? Key Responsibilities ?️ Reservations & Guest Relations • Manage bookings: Handle inquiries, viewings, quotes, confirmations, and diary management. • Guest cycle: Conduct seamless check-ins/check-outs and manage all guest documentation. • Wedding venue support: Act as the main point of contact for weekend stay-overs (Fridays, Saturdays during prep, and Sunday mornings). • Event hosting: Serve as the on-the-day hostess (primarily weekends) and assist with setup/teardown when needed. ? Housekeeping Excellence • Standard setting: Maintain pristine room cleanliness, compile checklists, and train/supervise staff. • Quality control: Conduct rigorous room inspections before check-in and after check-out. • Logistics: Oversee laundry operations, inventory control, and stock procurement. ? Property & Infrastructure Management • Maintenance: Manage building upkeep for both the accommodation and wedding venue. • Farm infrastructure: Monitor and oversee critical systems including water, generators, septic tanks, and refuse removal. • Groundskeeping: Manage garden services, irrigation systems, and landscaping development projects. • Event safety: Oversee infrastructure during events, managing opening/closing of accommodation and emergency procedures. ? Office & Administration • Admin tasks: Handle daily emails, filing, data entry, and monthly financial reconciliations. • Service upkeep: Maintain office infrastructure (internet, phone lines, water). ✔️ Minimum Requirements • Work Status: South African citizen with a valid ID (Police Clearance required if shortlisted). • Mobility: Must own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license. • Track record: A stable work history with contactable references. • Personal attributes: High energy, good health, and sober habits. Qualifications & Skills: • Experience: Proven experience managing a guesthouse and/or venue setting. • Education: A tertiary qualification in hospitality management or a related field is highly preferred. • Languages: Excellent communication skills in English, and fully fluent in Afrikaans. • Tech savvy: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. • Core traits: Exceptional leadership, strict attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to perform exceptionally well under weekend event pressure. ✉️ How to Apply Ready to become part of our dedicated team in a picturesque grape farm setting?
