General Manager - 5-Star Heritage Boutique Hotel - Robertson Wine Valley, Western Cape ? Urgent Vacancy Kendrick Recruitment is searching for an experienced, commercially minded and genuinely passionate General Manager for a 5-star graded boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Robertson's Breede Valley - a celebrated destination in the heart of South Africa's Robertson Wine Valley. This is not a back-office role. We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on leader who is as comfortable driving revenue and building trade relationships as they are managing day-to-day operations - someone who sees the commercial potential of this property and has the energy and skill to unlock it. Please note: Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Robertson area. This is a live-out position. Start date is as soon as possible. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior luxury hospitality management role - essential Proven track record as a Hotel Manager, General Manager, Lodge Manager or Operations Manager Strong sales, marketing and business development background - essential Solid understanding of digital marketing, social media and online reputation management Experience working with travel agents, tour operators, DMCs and online travel platforms Strong understanding of revenue management, yield management and hotel distribution channels Excellent networking and relationship-building skills within the tourism industry Sound financial management including budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting Proficient in hotel reservation and property management systems Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Business Management Valid driver's license - essential Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required Stable work history with contactable references Key Responsibilities: ? Hotel Operations Oversee daily operations across front office, housekeeping, F&B, spa and maintenance Ensure exceptional, consistent guest experiences and service standards at all times Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvements Ensure full compliance with health, safety and hospitality regulations ? Marketing & Business Development Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue growth Build and maintain relationships with tour operators, agents, DMCs, corporates and media Manage and grow the hotel's online presence, reputation and social media platforms Identify new business opportunities, revenue streams and strategic partnerships Attend trade shows, tourism networking events and industry functions ? Sales & Revenue Management Drive occupancy and revenue targets through proactive sales initiatives Develop and manage promotional campaigns, packages and corporate rate agreements Monitor market trends, competitor activity and ensure effective rate and yield management ?
