Executive Housekeeper | Large Luxury Safari Lodge | KwaZulu-Natal

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper for a large luxury safari lodge (75 rooms) near Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to maintain high housekeeping standards within a busy hotel environment.

Package & Benefits

• Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (DOE)

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeping Manager within a hotel, lodge or hospitality environment
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills
  
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation standards
  
• Experience with stock control, budgeting and housekeeping administration
  
• Ability to train, motivate and develop housekeeping teams
  
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  
• Computer literacy and experience with hospitality systems advantageous
  
• Valid driver's licence preferred
  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department
  
• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards
  
• Lead, train and manage the housekeeping team
  
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas
  
• Manage housekeeping schedules, rosters and departmental productivity
  
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, expenses and stock levels
  
• Maintain inventory of linen, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment
  
• Implement and uphold health, safety and hygiene standards
  
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally and efficiently
  
• Drive continuous improvement within the department to enhance service standards and operational efficiency
