Lodge Manager & Field Guide Couple - Luxury Safari Lodge - Timbavati, Greater Kruger ? Urgent Vacancy Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a dynamic, experienced Lodge Manager and Field Guide couple for an intimate luxury safari lodge set within the unfenced Big Five wilderness of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger ecosystem near Hoedspruit, Limpopo. With just four luxury tented suites accommodating a maximum of eight guests, this couple will be the heartbeat of the operation - one leading the lodge experience from the front of house, the other delivering world-class Big Five safari encounters in the field. If you are a couple who take genuine pride in doing things properly and feed off each other's strengths in a bush environment - this one is for you. This role is open to couples only. Individual applications will not be considered. Please note: Due to accommodation constraints, this position is not suitable for candidates with children or pets. Start date: As soon as possible. Minimum Requirements: Lodge Manager Partner: Minimum 3 years' luxury lodge management or senior hospitality experience - essential Proven ability to deliver a luxury 5-star guest experience across all touchpoints Strong FOH operations, reservations, stock control and staff management skills Financial management including reporting, cost control and supplier liaison Proficient in lodge/PMS systems Warm; professional and confident with high-end international guests Stable work history with outstanding, contactable references Field Guide Partner: FGASA NQF2 minimum - essential (NQF4 strongly preferred) Full Lead Trails Guide qualification - essential and non-negotiable Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) - essential Valid SAPS Firearm Competency - essential SASSETA registration - essential Valid First Aid certificate Valid PrDP - essential NDT registration - essential Minimum 2 years' 5-star guiding experience specifically in the Lowveld / Greater Kruger environment - essential Excellent guest engagement, tracking and interpretive skills Stable work history with outstanding, contactable references Key Responsibilities: Lodge Manager: Full day-to-day management of lodge operations across all departments Deliver a seamless, personalised luxury guest experience from arrival to departure Manage staff, scheduling, stock, suppliers and lodge administration Handle reservations, guest communications and special requests Financial reporting and liaison with ownership Field Guide: Lead morning and evening game drives across the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger open system Conduct guided bush walks in line with qualifications and reserve protocols Deliver informative, safe and personalised safari experiences for discerning guests Maintain vehicles, equipment and firearms to the required standard Ensure guest safety at all times during all activities Package: Combined Gross Salary: R40,000 to R50,000 per month (DOE) Live-in: Couple accommodation provided on the property Meals provided Discovery Medical Aid: Employer contribution after probation period Provident Fund: Employer contribution after probation period Rotation: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off (alternative cycles open to discussion) Should you both feel you are the right fit for this role, please apply with both CVs, contactable references and recent head and shoulders photos ASAP! ?
