Hostesses | Cape Town | Premium Casual Dining As an established, fast-expanding Johannesburg hospitality group prepares to launch its flagship seafront dining venue in Mouille Point, we are looking for warm, poised, and polished HOSTESSES to be the face of the restaurant. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience—managing table bookings, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth floor seating. Key Responsibilities Guest Welcoming & Engagement: Offer a warm, professional, and memorable welcome and farewell to every guest. Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably settled. Reservation & Floor Management: Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the digital booking system (e.g., Dineplan / SevenRooms). Work closely with the GM and Floor Managers to optimize table turnover and floor flow. Handle telephone inquiries and reservation requests with speed and elegance. Ambience & Reception: Maintain a immaculate, organized host station and entrance area at all times. Recognize VIPs and regular clientele, accommodating special requests wherever possible. Candidate Profile Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a host, receptionist, or front-of-house role in an upmarket restaurant, hotel, or high-end venue. Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and telephone etiquette. Tech Savvy: Comfortable working with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems. Attributes: Poised, highly organized, charming, and comfortable managing busy front-of-house flow with composure. Salary package: Market related Start: September for October opening.
