Purpose of the Role
The Pump Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and testing of various types of industrial pumps. The incumbent will ensure that all pump equipment operates at optimal performance levels through systematic stripping, fault-finding, reassembly, and testing procedures, in support of ongoing project operations.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Trade Certification |
Valid Trade Certificate (Fitter / Mechanical Fitter) — mandatory |
Experience |
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in pump maintenance |
Technical Skills |
Stripping, fault-finding, assembly, refurbishment, and testing of pumps |
Knowledge |
Understanding of pump components, mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, and drive systems |
Drawing Interpretation |
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals |
Tools |
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments |
Physical Fitness |
Must be medically fit and able to perform physical work in a workshop/site environment |
