As Country General Manager, the successful candidate will provide executive operational leadership across all Tanzania business units — camps, lodges, DMC, fleet, and support services — ensuring these functions operate as one cohesive, high-performing business. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role carries accountability for operational excellence, financial performance, guest experience standards, compliance, and people leadership. The Country GM will drive annual operating plans, oversee capital expenditure, lead and develop senior management teams, strengthen community and government stakeholder relationships, and ensure responsible tourism principles are embedded throughout the business. This is a hands-on leadership role for a commercially astute operator who can balance strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution across geographically dispersed teams. ???????????? • A relevant degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field; an MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage. • A minimum of 10 years’ senior leadership experience in the hospitality or tourism sector, with at least 8 years overseeing multi-site operations. • Extensive experience within the East African luxury safari or lodge sector is essential. • Demonstrated experience managing an inbound DMC or integrated tourism business is highly desirable. • Strong commercial, financial, and operational management skills with a proven track record of driving performance across multiple business units. • Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and deliver organisational change and operational excellence. • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, including government bodies, local communities, and conservation authorities. • The ability to represent a premium brand with authority, cultural sensitivity, and commercial acumen. • Contactable references essential. ?????? – On application ? ?????? ???? – Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience suitable for this position.
