Junior Sous Chef | Greater Kruger
A luxury lodge on a private game reserve is seeking a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join its five-star culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Chef de Partie looking to take the next step in their career.
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of hot kitchen, cold kitchen and pastry
• Excellent understanding of meat preparation, cooking techniques and plated service
• Confident preparing desserts, cakes and snacks
• Able to work independently and take ownership of kitchen sections
• Stock control, stock takes and ordering experience
• Excellent food hygiene and kitchen organisation
• Calm under pressure with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional appearance with the confidence to interact with high-end guests
• Passion for learning, leadership and career growth
• Willing to work weekends, public holidays and shifts
Rotation: 42 Days On / 12 Days Off
Salary: R12,000 per month
