Commercial Estimator

Location: Somerset West

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: R20,000 per month (Market-related based on experience)

A well-established Group of Companies in the construction industry is looking for a Commercial Estimator to join their team permanently. you will provide estimating and commercial support across multiple businesses within the group, working on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

• Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Develop project budgets and perform material and labour take-offs

• Manage project costing, cash flow, claims, and cost reporting

• Price variations and monitor project profitability

• Assist with tender submissions and quotations

• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and administration

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Oversee smaller maintenance and renovation projects from pricing through to completion

• Ensure financial accuracy throughout all project stages

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Construction Estimating or Quantity Surveying

• Strong knowledge of construction costing and project financial management

• Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills

• Experience preparing BOQs and tender documentation

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Experience with estimating software such as CCS Candy, BuildSmart, or similar will be advantageous

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
