A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic customer accounts within the automotive sector. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving new business opportunities, coordinating projects from initiation through to completion, and ensuring commercial, technical and operational objectives are achieved.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with technical knowledge of tool, jig and fixture manufacturing, while working closely with both local and international OEM customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow strategic customer accounts within the automotive manufacturing industry.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Drive new projects, engineering changes and product development initiatives.
Prepare commercial quotations and support contract negotiations.
Coordinate project activities to ensure successful delivery, quality and customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities to improve sales, marketing and commercial processes.
Minimum RequirementsDiploma in Sales & Marketing and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Qualified Tool & Jig Maker qualification will be advantageous.
Previous account management experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Experience working with European and Asian OEM customers.
Minimum 2 years' experience in tool and jig manufacturing.
Minimum 2 years' experience within an assembly and press shop environment.
Minimum 1 year's experience in process planning within the automotive industry.
Minimum 1 year's experience in time management and motion studies.
Minimum 1 year's experience in procurement or sales.
Proven project management experience with a successful track record of growing customer accounts.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
Key CompetenciesStrong knowledge of tool, jig and fixture manufacturing.
Sound understanding of commercial processes and quotation preparation.
Knowledge of commercial legislation and quality management systems.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, CATIA and general IT systems.
Adaptable and able to perform in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
