Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Develop and oversee high school academic work plans focusing on English and non-STEM subjects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Research, map, and enhance the school-based academic ecosystem, integrating external and online programmes that meet scholar needs.

• Design targeted interventions, including tutoring, online initiatives, and external opportunities to boost scholar performance.

• Lead the planning and implementation of non-STEM academic support for Grade 7 preparatory programmes.

• Develop assessment methodologies and tools for English and other subjects, supporting data-driven curriculum improvements.

• Facilitate workshops, assessments, and orientation programmes to ensure smooth scholar transitions and academic preparedness.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with school partners, including principals, academic heads, and support staff.

• Monitor and evaluate all non-STEM academic interventions, providing oversight and strategic adjustments.

Duties:

• Collaborate on content and sessions for high school transition and academic support.

• Lead the development and marking of English assessments for Grade 6 applicants.

• Contribute to the selection process for potential scholars.

• Manage relationships with school-based and external programme partners.

• Provide continuous support and feedback to improve curriculum and intervention strategies.

Requirements:

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field, preferably with a specialization in English.

• A minimum of 5 years of high school English teaching experience.

• Proven experience designing and implementing academic interventions and assessment methodologies.

• Deep understanding of the South African educational system and socio-cultural diversity.

• Multilingual abilities in Xhosa and Afrikaans are advantageous.

• Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and documentation skills.

Familiarity with the following:
