Job Summary
We're looking for a sharp, self-directed Data Analyst to turn raw data into decisions that matter - across both South African and United Kingdom business entities. This isn't a report-runner role. You'll own the full data lifecycle: ingestion, modelling, visualisation, and stakeholder reporting, all while navigating a fast-moving, multi-project environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same. This is a Hybrid / Remote role.
What you'll be doing:
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports in Power BI or Tableau - publication-ready, stakeholder-facing.
- Write optimised SQL, build ETL pipelines, and maintain dimensional data models across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Translate complex findings into plain-language insights for non-technical audiences - from operations to the board.
- Identify inefficiencies in data processes and implement improvements independently - without waiting to be asked.
- Monitor KPIs, catch anomalies early, and escalate risks before they land on someone's desk as a crisis.
- Collaborate across SA and UK time zones, adapting outputs to each jurisdiction's regulatory and business context.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Maths, or Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
- 3–6 years in a data analyst or BI role, delivering in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
- Microsoft PL-300 or DP-203 certification is a strong advantage.
- POPIA and/or GDPR compliance experience - you handle data with care and you know the rules.
- Self-starter who takes ownership end-to-end and escalates early rather than late.
