Job Summary
Stellenpak, a well-established fruit packing and cooling enterprise in Paarl, serving a niche market segment in the fruit industry, is looking for Cold Store Operational Clerk to join the team.
The incumbent is responsible for the execution of cold storage operational tasks with a focus on administrative and system related functions that include intakes and dispatches.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily cold storage administration, documentation and filing.
Prepare and verify loadout documentation, seals, labels, temperature equipment and special loading requirements.
Capture and maintain accurate loading and pallet information on the Vitrax system.
Coordinate container loadouts and ensure all required documentation is completed and signed.
Manage bin intake, empty bin movements and related system transactions.
Perform pallet weighing and assist with pallet identification and loadout requirements.
Coordinate Class 1 and Class 3 loadouts and ensure accurate system capturing and documentation.
Ensure compliance with exporter instructions, SOLAS requirements and applicable procedures.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is filed correctly.
Adhere to OHS, BRC, PPE and housekeeping requirements.
Liaise effectively with exporters, drivers, internal departments and management.
Assist with other operational duties as required and maintain professional working relationships.
Requirements:
Grade 12 qualification.
2–3 years’ experience in a similar administrative role.
Previous cold storage experience will be an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Strong computer, administrative and organisational skills.
Good interpersonal and conflict-management skills.
Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Resilient, adaptable and able to handle change.
Results-driven, reliable and professional.
