Key Account Product Manager

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a commercially focused and technically proficient Key Account Product Manager to join its expanding team in Kempton Park.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Marketing, Mining Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years' experience in Product Management, Product Support, Technical Sales or Business Development
Experience within the construction, mining, industrial, agricultural or heavy equipment sectors
Strong commercial and analytical skills
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management abilities
Computer literate in Microsoft Office
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems will be advantageous
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel nationally when required
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio Management
Develop and implement product portfolio strategies aligned with business objectives
Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for growth
Manage the product lifecycle from market introduction through to ongoing development
Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable product solutions
Support new product launches and market introductions
Key Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and dealer partners
Provide product guidance and commercial support to strategic accounts
Conduct customer visits and identify opportunities for business growth
Collaborate with sales teams to develop customer-focused solutions
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and ongoing support
Market & Business Development
Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Monitor industry trends and customer requirements
Identify new business opportunities and market segments
Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies
Provide recommendations to improve market share and product competitiveness
Technical & Commercial Support
Deliver product presentations and technical training
Assist with tenders, quotations and technical proposals
Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations
Develop product documentation and marketing material
Provide product performance feedback to internal stakeholders
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare regular product performance and market analysis reports
Monitor key performance indicators and product profitability
Support continuous improvement initiatives across product and sales functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency
