Technical Sales Representative Animal Nutrition and Feed Ingredients
Cost to company of R55,000--R70,000 per month, depending on experience. PLUS lucrative commission
Level Mid / junior to mid
Location Johannesburg office, national territory
Travel About 40--50% of the month with customers, adjusting as accounts are run from the office or new products / customers are added.
Reports to Head of Business Development and the General Manager (jointly)
Customers Feed mills, premix, livestock and dairy feed manufacturers;
Core products Magnesium oxide, magnesium sulphate, feed-grade sulphur, sodium bicarbonate, zinc and copper sulphate, and registered feed lines
Absolute essentials for the role
2 + years relevant experience
Proven sales experience of some or all of the above core products and additives in the South African animal feed or animal nutrition market.
An existing network of feed mills, premixers and/or feed manufacturers.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (many customers operate in Afrikaans).
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Advantageous
Tertiary qualification in agriculture, animal science or a related field.
Understanding of Act 36 registration of farm feeds and fertilisers.
On top of salary and commission :
Pool vehicle for customer travel, plus reimbursement; phone allowance of R2,000 a month within the package.
Three-month probation; 30 days' notice.
