Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper - Hospitality Background
Location: Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 Neg CTC (Doe)
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records up to the trial balance for a premier restaurant.
Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Manage payroll processing, including tips and overtime.
Conduct bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and hospitality-specific financial guidelines.
Communicate financial insights and budgets with management.
Track expenses, and vendor payments, and maintain accurate records.
Support inventory management and cost control initiatives.
Requirements:
Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
3-5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
