JOB OVERVIEW
A leading independent fuel and convenience retail group, the largest of its kind in South Africa, is continuously recruiting experienced Senior Site / Branch Managers to support its national operations.

The role is responsible for the full operational, financial, people, and compliance management of fuel stations incorporating fuel retail, convenience retail, and quick service restaurant (QSR) operations. Proven, relevant industry experience is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management
- Full accountability for end-to-end site operations across fuel, convenience retail, and QSR
- Ensure optimal site presentation, housekeeping, safety, and asset care
- Oversee stock control, ordering, reconciliation, and loss prevention
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Drive sales growth, margins, and profitability across all business streams
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Analyze performance against targets and implement corrective actions
People Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop large, diverse teams of between 40 and 80 staff per site
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture
- Manage labour planning, performance reviews, training, and discipline where required
Customer Experience
- Ensure consistently high service standards and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and implement service improvement initiatives
- Execute promotions and in-store marketing initiatives effectively
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory, SHEQ, fuel, and labour regulations
- Maintain audit readiness across operational, financial, and safety standards
- Ensure accurate administration, reporting, and system usage
Systems & Process Improvement
- Leverage digital systems for stock management, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and control
Minimum Requirements
- Proven management experience within fuel retail, convenience retail, and/or QSR environments
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior retail management role
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume sites and large staff complements (40–80 employees)
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of retail KPIs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office and retail operating systems
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear credit and criminal record
