Our client is looking for a highly qualified individual to join their Sales Team as a company representative. The ideal candidate will be based in Gauteng and will be responsible for servicing the region, with regular travel to KwaZulu-Natal and occasional travel to other African countries.

The primary responsibility of this role is to grow sales within an established territory by meeting with existing customers, prospective clients, and manufacturers' representatives. Duties include negotiating technical equipment sales, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating closely with the Sales, Applications Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure exceptional customer service and business growth.
Responsibilities include regular sales visits to potential and existing customers, engineering specification reviews, system design, direct response to customer enquiries, support of office sales personnel, and various other tasks to support the technical sales of process equipment across various industries.
The successful candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong telephone etiquette, and be willing to travel as required.
Identify potential new customers.
Qualify customer enquiries received through websites, advertisements, resellers, and direct contacts.
Respond directly to customer enquiries.
Evaluate customers' material handling projects.
Design material handling systems to meet customer requirements.
Determine appropriate pricing and prepare quotations.
Follow up on quotations and negotiate to secure orders.
Review and amend quotations prepared by office sales personnel.
Provide pricing for custom components used within material handling systems.
Source pricing for third-party equipment incorporated into supplied systems.
Gather all relevant project information for the engineering, production, and controls teams.
Act as liaison between customers and internal departments throughout project execution.
Monitor and track leads and quotations within the CRM system.
Review and amend bulk material handling system proposals prepared by the Applications Engineer.

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Technical background with strong mechanical aptitude.
National Senior Certificate (Matric).
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar diploma is advantageous but not essential.
