A busy, modern, high-end Dental Practice in Rosebank, Johannesburg is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly organised Dental Practice Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring exceptional patient service, leading and supporting the team, and driving the overall operational and financial success of the practice. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, financially astute, and possess excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Previous experience managing a private dental or medical practice is essential.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a private dental or medical practice

• Strong leadership, staff management, and HR experience

• Experience with payroll administration and staff scheduling

• Excellent financial management and KPI reporting skills

• Experience with dental practice management software (e.g. Exact, Elixir, or similar)

• Highly organised with exceptional administrative skills

• Professional, confident, and able to work independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Stable employment history with contactable references

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the dental practice

• Managing and leading the reception, administrative, and clinical support teams

• Ensuring an exceptional patient experience from first contact through to follow-up care

• Managing staff performance, recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR-related matters

• Coordinating staff rosters, leave schedules, and payroll administration

• Monitoring practice performance, financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Ensuring accurate billing, debt collection, stock control, and general financial administration

• Implementing and maintaining efficient operational systems and processes

• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, practice policies, and quality standards

• Liaising with dentists, suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders

• Identifying opportunities to improve workflow, patient satisfaction, and overall practice performance

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 & Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:30

Salary: Highly competive salary. Approximately R32 000 gross per month (approximately R25 000 take-home pay, depending on the successful candidate's individual tax profile).
