Job Opportunity: Financial Manager Bcom (Hospitality)
Location: Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg
Salary: R40 000- R 50 000 CTC, negotiable (DOE)

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial management for five premier restaurant locations.

• Oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.

• Ensure tax compliance and manage audits specific to the hospitality industry.

• Collaborate with finance teams and other departments.

• Develop financial policies and internal controls.

• Present financial information to stakeholders and management.

Requirements:

• Experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-branch operations A Must

• Minimum qualification: BCom Accounting, BCom Finance, or an equivalent accounting qualification.

• Experience: Typically 5–8 years in finance or accounting, including supervisory or management experience, depending on the company.

• Technical skills: Financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, management accounts, VAT and tax compliance, audit coordination, and month-end reporting.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance

• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency

• Proven leadership and team management ability

• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Expertise in preparing and analysing financial statements and reports for multiple business units

• Experience with tax compliance, audits, and financial regulations specific to the hospitality sector

• Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Strong leadership skills for managing finance teams and collaborating with other departments

• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders and executive management

• Ability to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess financial performance and identify improvement opportunities

• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of industry trends and economic factors affecting the hospitality sector

• Commitment to ethical financial practices and adherence to corporate governance standards
