Location: Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Service Centre Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day operations at our Cape Town Service Centre. You'll be responsible for managing our team of Repair Technicians, driving performance against key operational metrics, and ensuring every repair moves through the centre efficiently, safely, and in line with company SOPs.
This is a role for someone who can supervise people as well as process — someone who's comfortable on the floor, in the numbers, and having the tough conversations when standards slip.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management
• Supervise all Service Centre staff, including Cellphone and General Repair Technicians, through their reporting line
• Provide frequent, hands-on management across all aspects of staff performance
• Counsel underperforming staff and drive continuous improvement across the team
• Ensure staff comply with all Service Centre SOPs, including booking-in procedures, uniform policy, and staff search/exit procedures
Metrics & Performance
• Maximise quotation revenue, exceeding incentive-linked targets
• Ensure quotations are converted (populated to accepted and repaired) within 10 days
• Maintain average warranty repair turnaround under 2.5 days (average of 5 days permitted 16 December – 15 February)
• Ensure in-warranty and shop stock repairs do not exceed 10 days
• Keep the repair store balance below an average of R10,000
• Keep the seconds store balance below an average of R10,000
Stock & Spares Management
• Ensure all stock is booked in within 24 hours of arrival, with iPhones assessed and credited within 24 hours in line with company procedure
• Ensure spares are neatly unpacked, labelled, and stored correctly
• Request spares from other branches where required
• Supervise and return third-party stock to suppliers as required
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience supervising or managing a repair, service centre, or workshop environment
• Strong working knowledge of repair workflows, warranty processes, and SLA-driven operations
• Comfortable managing metrics, targets, and reporting (quotations, turnaround times, stock balances)
• Confident managing and developing a technical team, including performance counselling
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around stock control, spares management, and SOP compliance
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Honest, reliable, and able to take ownership of a busy, high-throughput environment
What We Offer
• Competitive salary based on experience
• A leadership role with real ownership over centre performance
• Opportunity to grow within the company
• Supportive management structure
