Job Summary
We are looking to hire a creative and innovative IT Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for managing our client's IT Infrastructure which includes end-user, system, telephony, and connectivity support both on-premise and in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. If you're ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you! Duties/Responsibilities: Daily system and network monitoring. Ensure maximum cloud services, system and network up-time. Monitor and review system security. Contribute to IT governance function. Manage Linux and windows servers including patches. Participate in disaster recovery planning and simulation. Assist the team with desktop support (hardware and software related issues). Manage hardware warranties and software licenses. Liaise with managed service provider, vendors, 3rd parties and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Asset management for hardware and software assets. Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly operations meetings. Manage e-waste of redundant hardware.   Qualification Required: Matric Qualification Preferred: Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Fundamentals Certification. 3 - 5 years' IT Infrastructure Experience. Experience Required: Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud, including but not limited to, Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Virtual Network etc. M365 maintenance and administration including SharePoint Online – Permissions and access. IT Security (FortiGate Firewall on-premise and cloud, Kaspersky Endpoint Security, MFA, Bitlocker, ZScaler, be the point of contact for penetration testing) Knowledge on the use of PowerShell. Knowledge of ITSM principles (Incident, Problem, Change Management). Working experience on private and public DNS record management. Working experience on Windows (Windows 11 and Server 2016) Linux operating systems. Working experience of windows server administrative tools such as DNS, DHCP, GPO and Active Directory. Understanding VOIP and Hosted PBXs. Beneficial experience but not essential: Knowledge of Freshdesk service desk. Knowledge of Pastel Evolution and Sage People. Mimecast e-mail maintenance and administration. Aruba L2/L3 switches and Access Points. Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR compliance and POPIA. Periodic performance reporting for capacity planning.
