Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader to join a luxury hotel in the Southern Suburbs. This role is ideal for an experienced housekeeping professional with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for maintaining exceptional standards within a five-star environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently reflect the highest levels of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort. Key Responsibilities Supervise and guide housekeeping attendants, housemen, and related team members on a daily basis Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet luxury cleanliness and presentation standards Conduct room inspections and quality checks to maintain exceptional housekeeping standards Assist in coordinating daily housekeeping operations and staff allocations Support the Housekeeping Supervisor and Assistant Executive Housekeeper with operational requirements Ensure housekeeping procedures and service standards are consistently followed Report maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance teams where required Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency Assist with training, mentoring, and motivating housekeeping staff to encourage continuous improvement Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns professionally and efficiently Ensure adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and hotel policies at all times Promote a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and exceptional guest service Requirements Grade 12 qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience within a housekeeping department or similar leadership role in hospitality Previous experience within a luxury hotel or five-star environment preferred Proficiency in hotel management software systems Strong leadership and team supervision skills Excellent organisational and communication abilities High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and service-oriented attitude
