Our client, an established organisation operating at the forefront of digital marketing, e-commerce and retail, is seeking a driven Digital Marketing Manager to own and optimise their comprehensive digital growth engine.
Own paid media strategy, budgets, and execution across Meta, Google Ads, and South African marketplace advertising platforms such as Takealot Sponsored Ads and Amazon.co.za Sponsored Ads.
Allocate budgets based on measured ROI, shifting investments toward the most profitable channels.
Build, run, and optimise Meta campaigns within Ads Manager, including audience targeting, creative testing, and budget management.
Measure channel performance against internal sales data to ensure accurate assessment of ROI, going beyond platform-reported figures.
Manage external advertising agencies and bring channels in-house when performance metrics justify the move.
Plan and execute paid activities around key retail seasonal events.
Develop and execute an end-to-end social media strategy across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Curate, schedule, and publish content — including short-form videos, product demonstrations, and testimonials — with a hands-on approach.
Write compelling captions, scripts, and ad copy tailored to diverse audiences.
Manage community engagement, responding promptly to comments, messages, and customer queries.
Monitor platform trends, competitor activity, and seasonal opportunities to optimise content and campaigns.
Create and maintain product listings and content for the company’s online store and marketplaces.
Support product launches and collaborate with optimisation teams on experiments to improve conversions.
Identify, recruit, and manage influencer collaborations, including negotiations, briefs, and content approval.
Review and act on AI-generated marketing recommendations, feeding back results to improve system outputs.
Own monthly marketing performance reports, analysing revenue, margins, and engagement metrics.
Support localisation efforts for the UK market, adapting content and coordinating with external agencies.
Four or more years in digital marketing, with at least two years of hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns.
Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager for campaign creation, audience targeting, and optimisation.
Strong content creation skills, including filming, editing, and compelling copywriting.
Data literacy with the ability to interpret dashboards and reconcile platform data with actual business results.
Practical experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) in a marketing context.
E-commerce or marketplace experience, particularly with platforms like Takealot or Amazon.
Self-sufficient operator capable of setting priorities and delivering results with minimal supervision.
