Our client, a leading South African manufacturer with a global footprint, is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst – Distributor Performance to join their head office team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for analysing distributor performance across international markets, delivering meaningful commercial insights, and building strong relationships with distributors to support business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data while influencing strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor distributor purchases against annual sales targets.

• Analyse sales performance, market trends and commercial data to identify opportunities and risks.

• Prepare weekly, monthly and executive-level dashboards and reports.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance.

• Monitor distributor pipelines, compliance and growth metrics.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors across global markets.

• Work closely with internal departments to support commercial planning and forecasting.

• Analyse product, market and SKU performance.

• Ensure distributor data remains accurate across multiple business systems.

• Present commercial insights to senior management and the CEO.

• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field.

• 3–5 years' experience in a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Data Analyst or Commercial Finance role.

• Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty or distributor-based business environment.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and data modelling.

• Experience analysing large datasets and translating data into actionable business insights.

• Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Experience with Power BI, SQL, SYSPRO or other ERP/Business Intelligence systems will be advantageous.
