Sales Consultant – Control Valves
Location: Cape
A leading provider of industrial solutions is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant – Control Valves to drive new business development and manage key customer relationships within the process industries. This is a technical sales role requiring a consultative approach, strong product knowledge, and the ability to identify customer requirements while delivering engineered valve solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
Conduct face-to-face customer visits and technical sales presentations.
Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable control valve solutions.
Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure new business.
Maintain and update the CRM system with sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
Work closely with internal engineering and technical support teams to develop customer solutions.
Conduct site visits, plant surveys, and shutdown planning with customers.
Promote service, maintenance, repair, and aftermarket solutions.
Build long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
Monitor market activity and identify new sales opportunities.
Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to regional business growth.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric).
N3 qualification with Mechanical or Process Instrumentation (minimum requirement).
N6 qualification will be advantageous.
Trade Test in Instrumentation will be advantageous.
Minimum 2 years' experience in technical sales within industrial automation, valves, instrumentation, or process control.
Sound knowledge of control valves and their applications.
Process plant experience will be advantageous.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Package
Salary: R750,000 – R900,000 CTC per annum (depending on experience)
