Key Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, an international digital marketing agency with a Cape Town office, for an experienced Analytics Solutions Architect to join their team. This is a hybrid role based in Cape Town, working within a global business and collaborating with international teams and clients.

This is a senior, hands on analytics role for someone who combines strong technical implementation skills with the ability to understand business challenges, design effective measurement solutions and confidently engage with clients and internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will take ownership of technically advanced analytics projects while also helping maintain best practices across the wider team through documentation, QA, training and mentoring.

The Role

As an Analytics Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading advanced analytics implementations from scoping through to delivery.

This is a mid level role, requiring 4 to 7 years of analytics or technical solutions experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and independently executing advanced analytics deployment projects

• Understanding client measurement challenges and translating business requirements into practical technical solutions

• Designing comprehensive Measurement Frameworks, including KPIs, digital goals, measurement plans and technical deliverables

• Delivering, maintaining and adapting existing solutions based on briefs and evolving client needs

• Leading technical analytics workshops and training sessions with clients

• Providing technical expertise and support to clients and internal teams

• Performing QA on technical implementations to ensure required standards are maintained

• Proactively identifying technical blockers, feasibility concerns and potential project delays

• Supporting the scoping of new opportunities and recommending appropriate solutions

• Managing client expectations through clear and proactive communication

• Developing documentation and training materials

• Mentoring and coaching junior team members and helping them develop greater technical independence

The role requires someone comfortable operating at both a technical and consultative level, including senior level conversations around client measurement challenges.

Technical Expertise

We are looking for strong hands on experience across digital analytics and measurement technologies, including:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4), audits, implementation and troubleshooting

• Google Tag Manager

• Google and Meta tag implementation, auditing and troubleshooting, along with confidence working on tags outside of the Google and Meta ecosystem

• dataLayer auditing, implementation and troubleshooting

• Advanced JavaScript and HTML

• Custom JavaScript and HTML implementations

• Looker Studio

• Measurement Frameworks

• Server side implementations

• Web and app analytics

• Data privacy and measurement initiatives, including Consent Mode and Enhanced Conversions

• Consent Management Platforms such as OneTrust and/or Didomi

• Experience working with complex systems, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

The position also involves server side GTM and related advanced implementations, requiring someone comfortable working with data, media and technical stakeholders.

Certifications

About You

Technical expertise is important, but this position also requires someone who can operate confidently in a client facing environment.

You should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable explaining technical concepts, managing client expectations and building trusted relationships.

You'll need to be proactive, able to identify potential problems before they become larger issues, manage competing priorities and backlog effectively, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, escalating where necessary.

You'll also play an important role in developing junior team members through mentoring, coaching and technical guidance.
