Job Summary
Our client within the Financial Services Provider (FSP) in the financial services industry is seeking a professional, dynamic, and client-focused Medical Advisor to serve their growing client base in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and the Boland region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to individuals, families, and businesses regarding medical aid schemes, gap cover, and related healthcare solutions.
This role is suited to an individual who is passionate about client service, able to build strong relationships, and eager to make a meaningful difference in clients’ healthcare and financial planning.
Office attendance is required on a weekly basis. Daily office attendance is not necessary; however, the successful candidate will be required to report to the office from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional advice to clients regarding suitable medical aid and gap cover options.
- Identify and analyse client needs to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist clients with new applications, amendments, queries, and annual plan reviews.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Develop and service a client base in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and the Boland region.
- Ensure all advice, administration, and client service comply with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal processes.
- Stay up to date with changes in medical schemes, benefits, gap cover, and related healthcare products.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- Previous experience in medical schemes, health insurance, gap cover, or financial advisory services will be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical aid options and related healthcare products is highly recommended.
- Excellent communication, marketing, and client service skills.
- Strong administrative skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and build long-term client relationships.
- RE5 and/or relevant industry qualifications will be advantageous.
- A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle are required, as the role involves client visits within the designated areas.
