About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing investment and property-focused business. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Manager with financial and operational reporting across multiple entities.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
- Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and update consolidated reporting templates and regional financial reports.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as required.
- Assist in documenting and improving financial and operational business processes.
- Prepare and review tax computations, provisional tax calculations, and dividend distributions.
- Prepare and submit tax returns using relevant tax software platforms.
- Assist with VAT reviews, tax reconciliations, IT14SD submissions, and SARS-related queries.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Compile audit files and liaise with external auditors during audit processes.
- Assist with shareholder and stakeholder financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years' relevant accounting experience.
- Articles completed at a small audit or accounting practice will be advantageous.
- Experience within an accounting firm, audit practice, investment environment, or multi-entity business structure beneficial.
- Professional registration (SAIPA or SAICA) is advantageous but not essential.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
