About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing investment and property-focused business. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Manager with financial and operational reporting across multiple entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain and update consolidated reporting templates and regional financial reports.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as required.
• Assist in documenting and improving financial and operational business processes.
• Prepare and review tax computations, provisional tax calculations, and dividend distributions.
• Prepare and submit tax returns using relevant tax software platforms.
• Assist with VAT reviews, tax reconciliations, IT14SD submissions, and SARS-related queries.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Compile audit files and liaise with external auditors during audit processes.
• Assist with shareholder and stakeholder financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare, monitor, and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Articles completed at a small audit or accounting practice will be advantageous.
• Experience within an accounting firm, audit practice, investment environment, or multi-entity business structure beneficial.
• Professional registration (SAIPA or SAICA) is advantageous but not essential.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
