A reputable organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance on a 3-month contract to provide strong financial leadership and ensure continuity within the finance function. This role is ideal for a technically strong CA(SA) who thrives in high-pressure environments, can hit the ground running, and is confident leading month-end processes, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the finance function, ensure governance and compliance, and support leadership with clear financial insight and decision support during a critical period.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full finance function including month-end close, management accounts, and reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support business continuity
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance with statutory requirements
- Manage audit coordination and liaise with external auditors and key stakeholders
- Provide strategic financial input and decision support to senior management
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) qualification is essential
- Minimum 8–10 years post-articles experience in a senior finance role
- Proven experience in leading a finance function (Head of Finance / Financial Manager / Finance Lead level)
- Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP / Sage / Syspro or similar)
- Must be immediately available or available on short notice
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership from day one
