Job Description

The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in analysing, designing, and implementing information systems that support business processes within the banking and finance sector. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate these into technical specifications, and ensure system solutions align with organisational objectives. The Systems Analyst monitors system performance, assists with troubleshooting, and supports the development and enhancement of technology platforms to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document detailed business and system requirements through engagement with stakeholders and end users.
• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop clear and concise functional and technical specifications to guide system development and configuration.
• Collaborate with software developers, testers, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements and new applications.
• Conduct system testing and validation to confirm that solutions meet business needs and comply with quality standards.
• Support the implementation of new systems and upgrades, including user training and documentation.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal functionality.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security protocols, and internal control standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practises within banking and finance IT systems.

Required Qualifications

• A recognised degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications related to business analysis or systems analysis are advantageous.

Required Skills and Experience

• API onboarding analysis and Host-to-Host onboarding analysis, split across API and H2H workstreams where required, business and systems analysis, process modelling, functional and non-functional requirements, workflow definition, Agile backlog management, integration service requirements, and traceability.
