Trainee Accountants (SAICA / SAIPA Streams)

Location: Pretoria East and Centurion (Office-Based, Full-Time)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Salary: Market-related market packages (dependent on academic qualification level and SAICA/SAIPA stream)

SAICA Trainee Accountants (CA Route): Undergraduate Level (Completed BCom / Final Year) R15,000 to R16,000 per month and Postgraduate Level (Completed Honours / CTA Level 1 or 2): R18,000 to R24,000 per month

SAIPA Trainee Accountants (Professional Accountant Route): Completed BCom Accounting (Standard Trainee) R13,000 to R15,000 per month and SAIPA Trainee with Honours / Partial Post-Grad R15,000 to R17,500 per month

For a matriculant entering a firm with just a Grade 12 certificate and registering for their BCom Accounting degree on a part-time basis, the starting salary is R8,500 to R11,000 Well-established Auditing and Accounting firms with a strong footprints in Pretoria East and Centurion is looking for driven Trainee Accountants to join their SAICA and SAIPA training programs. Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Completed Matric with Accounting as a subject OR currently studying toward/completed a BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent SAICA/SAIPA accredited qualification). Please note diplomas will not be accepted.

• Languages: Full professional fluency in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken) is essential for client communication.

• Driver's License: A valid South African driver’s license is mandatory (you will be required to utilize a company vehicle for client visits).

• Attributes: Strong work ethic, high emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing your professional articles.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your chosen stream (SAICA or SAIPA), your duties will include:

• Processing financial transactions and preparing accounting records up to trial balance.

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.

• Performing audit duties, independent reviews, or verification procedures (SAICA focus).

• Preparing and submitting statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) via eFiling.

• Liaising directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and gather financial documentation.
