About the Opportunity

Qetello Holdings is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HVAC Site Operator to join their growing technical team based in Bryanston, Johannesburg.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HVAC professional who can work independently, manage site operations, and ensure the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety and operational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Site Operations

• Manage the day-to-day HVAC activities on assigned client sites.

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.

• Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and client requirements.

• Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Installation & Maintenance

• Install, service, and maintain a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

• Conduct inspections to identify potential mechanical or electrical faults.

• Perform system testing, commissioning, and performance optimisation.

• Recommend repairs or equipment upgrades where necessary.

Equipment Expertise

The successful candidate must have practical experience working with:

• Chillers

• Fan Coil Units (FCUs)

• Air Handling Units (AHUs)

• Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)

• VRV & VRF Systems

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

• Report safety concerns and operational risks promptly.

Customer Service

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

• Provide technical support and recommendations where required.

• Represent the company professionally while working on client premises.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.

• Minimum 4-6 years' HVAC experience.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Own reliable vehicle.

• Must be based in Johannesburg.

• Able to work independently and manage site operations.

• Commercial and industrial HVAC experience will be highly advantageous.

• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
