Qualification
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years project / engineering experience
- Experience from EPC/EPCM type project management would be an advantage
- Experience within the mining / process plant environment
- Excellent computer literacy (including design/visualisation software)
- Strong multi-disciplinary project management and supervision skills
- Demonstrate a firm grip of Budget control, Schedule control, quality management with a keen eye on communication
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and best practices
Duties
- Control, monitor and report on project budgets and cashflow.
- Manage FOREX requirements, critical payment milestones and overspend approvals.
- Issue and manage purchase orders in line with NCP’s Levels of Authority.
- Review and approve project-related invoices and ensure proper documentation filing.
- Maintain active communication with the Project Manager and Finance Department.
- Review, approve, and manage MDRs, QCMDs, QCPs, NCRs and TQRs.
- Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure components meet quality assurance standards.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Ensure project photographs, quality reports and records are properly saved.
- Perform final inspection release with Quality personnel.
- Prepare and manage project schedules and regularly report progress.
- Issue Early Warning notices related to delays or force majeure.
- Manage supplier schedules to prevent delays on critical path items.
- Ensure long-lead items are controlled for on-time delivery.
- Participate in project handover and contract review meetings.
- Ensure scope of supply and battery limits are clearly defined.
- Issue Confirmation of Order documents and manage client kick-off meetings.
- Manage scope, variation orders, and correct invoicing.
- Coordinate component deliveries, documentation, and handover certificates.
- Conduct project risk assessments at kick-off and monthly thereafter.
- Complete full project closure and lessons learned.
- Manage freight budgets, packing lists, delivery notes, commercial invoices, scheduling, risks, and insurance.
- Manage site budgets, quality control, QCPs, inspection reports, scheduling, daily diaries, risks, and travel logistics.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, organisation, and proactive communication.
- Ensure proper care of NCP tools/equipment.
- Manage relationships with NCP partner companies and critical suppliers professionally.
