Job Summary
Our reputable QSR / Restaurant client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, cleaning, and analyzing business and operational data to support informed decision-making. The role will involve working with data from various sources, including MICROS POS, maintaining databases, identifying trends and patterns, streamlining data collection processes, and preparing accurate analytical reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Junior Data Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Access, Power Query, Power BI and SQL.
- Experience working with and extracting data from POS systems, preferably MICROS.
- Strong understanding of data cleaning, preparation, validation, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect and consolidate data from various sources, including MICROS POS.
- Clean, filter, validate, and prepare datasets for accurate analysis.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and business insights.
- Develop and streamline data collection methods and automated reporting routines.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of databases and data systems.
- Identify and resolve data errors and monitor database performance.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL, Excel, Power Query and Microsoft Access.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Prepare analytical reports to support operational and management decision-making.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and analytical processes.
